A Lemsteraak is a certain type of sailing boat that belongs to the round-bottomed sailing boats. Originally the Lemsteraak was a Frisian sailing ship, designed in Lemmer, which was used for fishing. Characteristic of the Lemsteraak is the crooked stem. The barge is built egg-shaped with the tip to the rear. The round lines in the length and the width ensure excellent sailing properties.
