The Lemsteraak VA96 ''t Bruine Leven'' was built according to the drawings that Henk Lunstroo made of his Lemsteraak 'Zeemeeuw' (later 'Groote Beer'). He immediately ordered three casco's at Schouten. Later on, more ships were built from this drawing. Famous sister ships: 'Kaatje', 'Wadwaai' and 'Rozemarijn'. 't Bruine Leven is well maintained and upgraded during the years. Fully equipped and very suitable for longer stays on board.
Die Lemsteraak VA96 ''t Bruine Leven'' wurde nach den Zeichnungen gebaut, die Henk Lunstroo von seiner Lemsteraak 'Zeemeeuw' (später 'Groote Beer') angefertigt hatte. Er bestellte sofort drei Kaskos in Schouten. Später wurden weitere Schiffe nach dieser Zeichnung gebaut. Berühmte Schwesterschiffe: 'Kaatje', 'Wadwaai' und 'Rozemarijn'. Die 't Bruine Leven ist gut gepflegt und im Laufe der Jahre modernisiert worden. Sie ist komplett ausgestattet und eignet sich sehr gut für längere Aufenthalte an Bord.

Later zijn van deze tekening nog meer schepen gebouwd. Beroemde zusterschepen: 'Kaatje', 'Wadwaai' en 'Rozemarijn'. 't Bruine Leven is goed onderhouden en in de loop der jaren verbeterd. Volledig uitgerust en zeer geschikt voor een langer verblijf aan boord.

't Bruine Leven has been used for live aboard and has been used for day trips since 2006. In 2009 't Bruine Leven has been refiited by Shipyard SRF and in 2012 a new Steyr engine has been installed. In 2021, the anchor winch was completely overhauled and all discharge holes were also replaced and new pipes welded in.
