OYSTER 82 JAGIYA
Highly specified ocean-ready 82 with flag blue hull, carbon cutter rig, carbon in-boom main, stunning cherry interior, and loaded with extras. JAGIYA has been well cared for by her second owner and is realistically priced and turnkey.
From any angle, the Oyster 82 looks refined and stylish. An exceptional sailing yacht, that will do 240-mile days on passage, the Oyster 82 is beautifully balanced and light on the helm with equally impressive light air performance. The 82 is a fine example of what can be achieved by combining the naval architect’s art and the builder’s experience, a yacht that really does compare favourably with many larger vessels.
The 82’s split cockpit has a big yacht feel with twin wheels and a spacious, protected guest cockpit with large, fitted tables for some serious ‘al fresco’ dining.
The upper saloon offers a direct line of sight outboard, providing a panoramic vista and direct access to the cockpit. The lower saloon incorporates seating and an entertainment area.
The Oyster 82 offers full-standing headroom under the cockpit floor, with a centerline passageway leading aft to the owner’s stateroom and two guest cabins. This gives owners and their guests privacy from the galley and ensuite crew accommodation which are forward of the saloon.
The Oyster 82 offers a combination of comfort and performance, with an abundance of practical sea-going features that are the hallmark of the entire Oyster range.

1. CONSTRUCTION
HULL NUMBER
Oyster 82/03.
HULL CONSTRUCTION
Moulded in GRP from female moulds built by Oyster in their own facility under the designer’s supervision, ensuring a smooth accurate finish.
Both hull and deck structures moulded to designer’s specification under controlled conditions, with all laminating carried out by hand to high standard. The GRP layup specification is in excess of Lloyd’s requirements.
Mouldings produced using a Lloyd’s approved gelcoat and laminating resin. Hull gelcoat and three outer laminates incorporate powder-bound mats. Isophthalic resin used for hull, tanks, coachroof and deck layups.
Extra Kevlar added to bow in build for impact resistance.
HULL FINISH
Hull sprayed in Awlgrip ‘Flag Blue’ with cove line and double boot top lines in ‘Silver.’
DECK CONSTRUCTION
Moulded in GRP with balsa core for strength and insulation.
In load bearing areas the core is replaced with plywood for additional strength, and all load bearing fittings have aluminum backing plates.
Featuring Oyster’s renowned ‘deck saloon’ profile with eyebrow styling.
DECK FINISH
Side decks, forward and aft coachroof, deck saloon roof either side of companionway under sprayhood, winch coamings, cockpit seats, sole and helmsman’s seat are trimmed with laid teak.
The deck edge incorporates a bulwark, which enhances the yacht’s visual appearance with a graceful sheer line. This bulwark facilitates relatively flat side decks whilst providing a good foothold when working the yacht in a seaway, and the top of the bulwark is capped with a substantial gloss varnished teak capping rail.
