1 . CONSTRUCTION
HULL NUMBER Oyster 82.16.
HULL CONSTRUCTION Laid-up GRP to a specification that meets and exceeds Lloyd’s Register of Shipping Rules for Yacht and Small Craft, with bulkheads made of marine ply.
The hull uses a special NPG gelcoat and is laminated using vinylester resin for allouter skins. It is of single skin construction, reinforced with a matrix of stringers above and below the waterline.
Limber holes and/or tubes are installed at appropriate points.
Stringers, bulkhead landings, and floors incorporate non-structural, inert, polyurethane foam.
Deck laminate incorporates an end-grain balsa core for both insulation and panel stiffness.
In load bearing areas the core is replaced with marine plywood for additional strength, and fittings have backing plates or large washers.
HULL FINISH Painted Awlgrip ‘Black’ hull with boot top and cove lines in Alexseal ‘Pure Silver.’
Hull polished, and localised painting repairs around forward cockpit and mast base (Summer 2023).
Antifouling - two coat application of Jotun Imperial antifouling paint (Summer 2023).
Anodes replaced as required (Summer 2023).
DECK CONSTRUCTION Moulded in GRP with balsa core.
Deck saloon styling incorporates an eyebrow effect with angular windows. The top is painted with non-skid deck paint.
DECK FINISH Teak laid decks. Teak joins sikaflexed as required (2023).
Deck edge incorporates a bulwark, which enhances the yacht’s visual appearance with a graceful sheer line. The top of this bulwark is capped with a substantial varnished teak capping rail. Capping rail sanded back and varnished with seven coats (2022). Additional three coats of varnish applied (Summer 2023).
KEEL High performance bulb (HPB) external lead keel.

GENERAL Ten berths in five cabins, plus Pullman (excluding the saloon).
Sea berths have fitted Dacron lee screens with lanyards to through-bolted eyes.
All berths, including doubles are counted as sea berths and have split mattresses allowing for a central lee cloth to provide the necessary support and separation.
Designed to be modern and coordinated whilst remaining practical and durable at sea. Essential features include sculpted fiddles and grab rails, ‘shadow-gap’ joints between panels and flush catches.
Interior joinery finished in maple, with custom walnut horizontal fiddles and finishings. Custom finishes include main companionway treads and risers in walnut, stainless steel grab rails with solid capping walnut ends, outer face of buttresses in maple and ‘Mobello Portofino’ cabin door handles.
Cabin sole in walnut, grooved with 120mm planks.
Floor covers in Sunbrella material with non-slip backing for companionway and passageways.

Featuring a large square settee to port with an extendable table in quarter-sawn maple and a custom diamond pattern on a large pedestal base. This provides comfortable seating for six. From this upper level diners have an excellent view from the deck saloon windows.
CHART TABLE / NAVIGATION AREA
To starboard is the navigation area with chart table and swivel seat. The area is customised around the navigation equipment and ship’s computer, which are strategically-sited and flush-mounted in a walnut fascia.
A small stainless steel support stay is fitted on the chart table lid. There is provision for the stowage of Admiralty size, half folded charts. Stowage is also provided for navigational books, almanacs, etc.
Additional custom stowage is provided opposite the chart table for additional charts.
An oilskin locker is located aft of the navigation area.
ENGINE ROOM Accessed via the aft passageway with all-round access to machinery.
Built of sound insulating plywood, the entire area is insulated with a foam and barrier insulation. All additional access panels are fitted with rubber sealing strips to minimise noise, and are secured by positive catches.

7. TANKAGE AND PLUMBING
FUEL 3,200 litres approximately (703 Imp gallons/845 US gallons) in two GRP tanks.
WATER 2,000 litres approximately (483 Imp gallons/581 US gallons) in two GRP tanks.
Additional 90 litres approximately (20 Imp gallons/24 US gallons) in one tank under saloon seating, with dedicated tap next to galley sink.
TANK TENDER GAUGES Offshore Systems tank monitoring system for fuel, water, and black water tanks. All senders and sensors, including offshore system replaced (2019).
HOT WATER From two insulated approximately 93 litres (20 Imp gallons/23 US gallons) tanks heated by the engine’s heat exchanger, or by thermostatically-controlled 220V, 2kW immersion heater elements powered by the generator or dockside power.
Each tank is fitted with a thermostatic safety blender valve.
Two 220V hot water calorifier immersion heaters.
PRESSURISED HOT AND COLD WATER SYSTEM
Two Marco UP6/E-DX water pumps with pressure accumulator tank, PEX/PBT pipework and fittings, and all hot water pipes lagged. Set up so that the aft end of the boat runs on one pump and the forward the other, but the entire boat can run off either pump.
HOLDING TANKS Polyethylene toilet holding tanks installed for each head. Configured for gravity discharge with ability to pump out on deck.
Fitted with electric tank capacity gauges.
GREY WATER Four grey water tanks, each fitted with a float switch and Whale gulper pump giving automatic evacuation of all showers and washbasins.
Galley sinks pump directly overboard via a Whale gulper pump operated by a Vimar rocker switch.
MANIFOLD SYSTEM Two bronze and one stainless steel manifold for seawater inlets to reduce through hull fittings. All stripped and cleaned (2021).

RING MAIN 220V AC ring main with 15 double, 3-pin outlet sockets located as appropriate within the layout.
All double type UK sockets in galley and crew areas forward, saloon, chart table and guest cabins are combination units with single UK socket and Schuko socket in double bezel.
