The Arvor 230 AS comes equipped with a sink, stove, chemical toilet, and a large double bed. The incredibly fuel-efficient turbocharged and intercooled Volkswagen engine has a 200-liter diesel tank capacity. The Arvor has a top speed of about 23 knots, or you can simply cruise along at an easy 10 knots.
At the front is the 'self-launching' anchor on a Muirs anchor windlass, electronically operated from the comfort of the wheelhouse. The chain compartment is large and self-draining. Bow rails provide a firm grip in rough weather.
The toughened glass windshield features a double set of wipers. You can see upfront that the wheelhouse has been shifted to port to allow for walking space on the starboard side.
Four rod holders with covers are standard in the cockpit, as well as a foldable side seat on the starboard side. There's also a small quarter seat, all upholstered for comfort.
A live baitwell is built into the top of the transom to keep your catch alive.
Rod storage holders are located under the high gunwales to keep these rods out of the way and off the floor. The diesel fuel fill point is flush mounted in the transom, with the tank vent nearby.
The deck and cockpit floor are easy to clean, and all water can drain away through the self-drainers at the rear.
Two sturdy cleats, a stern boarding ladder, a grab rail, and a swim platform complete the stern.
The engine is easily accessible, and the boat comes standard with two bilge pumps - one operated by a button in the cockpit and the other working automatically via a float switch. All hatch locks are provided with a lock and key for security, a nice detail and a must in today's society.
Within the lockable wheelhouse are the switches for isolating the batteries so they cannot be tampered with when the boat is unattended.
Two foldable chairs are provided for the helmsman and passenger, but it was comfortable and ergonomic to steer while standing. Visibility is excellent through the large windshield, and the single throttle falls nicely within reach. Tachometer, pressure, temperature, voltmeter, and fuel gauges are standard instruments, complemented by a Simrad GMDSS marine VHF radio and 2 Lowrance plotter-fishfinders; as well as a radar. A six-way switch panel controls the various circuits for powering navigation lights and the like. An AM/FM/CD player and compass complete the electronics.
Two small outward-opening windows and a roof hatch provide ample ventilation when the wheelhouse door is closed. There were pockets everywhere in the V-berth.
With its double mattress, the cabin is a very comfortable place for two people to sleep without any space arguments.
This arvor 230AS is equipped with two plotter/fishfinders, AIS receiver and a bowthruster.
The VW marine engine has about 3.500 running hrs. VAT-paid proof comes with the boat!
The red color of the gelcoat of the hullthis Arvor 230 AS is still in very good condition. So is the white deck and cockpit. All is in good condition.
The boat is available for viewing in Breskens, Netherlands.
