This Hallberg-Rassy 34, Scandinavia, has been well taken care of by their 2 owners since her launch in 1995. She is very well equipped for both shorthand and long distance sailing with lots of recent upgrades and renewals. With her efficient keel and sturdy fractional rig she is showing amazing sailing performance for a yacht of this size whilst at the same time offering great comfort for cruising long distances as she recently proved by crossing the Atlantic comfortably and seamless.

History from the current owner of the Hallberg-Rassy 34 construction number 154;
Purchased her as my first boat from Nova Yachting in 2006. The first owner, an
older couple, had at the time sailed mainly, if not exclusively, on the IJsselmeer for 10 years. She
was in almost new condition when we bought her. Although I was initially looking for
a slightly older and larger Hallberg-Rassy, to this day I have not regretted for a moment
of purchasing this great sailor that under all conceivable conditions is
unimaginably good, safe and comfortable sailing. The first few years we mainly sailed with our
family in and from Zeeland: (long) weekends and holidays in and around the North Sea.
Unfortunately, due to my intensive work at the time, it was not possible to make longer
sailing trips. She even spent 4 years in a yard shed in storage
because of my work abroad. This situation only changed in 2017 due to early
retirement, which finally allowed us to spend some longer time on board and we made trips
made to Baltic Sea and southern Brittany, among others.
In 2021, I was also finally able to fulfil my dream to sail a round Atlantic on my own keel and, with changing crews, It has been
a lot of fun, after a short, good preparation in October 2021 I left from
Scheveningen to the Canary Islands with stopovers in southern England, Porto
Santo and Madeira. Then from la Gomera to Mindelo on Cape Verden, followed by
a super beautiful and unforgettable 16-day crossing to Martinique. After 4 wonderful
months and 12 islands in the Cabieb, crossed to Horta in the Azores in June 2022. Where
we experienced a few fantastic weeks on 4 different Azores islands before continuing
sailing to the beautiful sailing area of Galicia in Spain. This spring we sailed her from there
sailed to Bruinisse in very favourable conditions which meant that, despite 3
stops en route, needed to cover the nearly 900 miles. Even in light
conditions she sails great especially under the big Spinnaker or Gennaker. That all these
fantastic trips went so without any significant problems, is mainly due
to the exceptionally good design and extremely reliable construction of this HallbergRassy 34. It is therefore not easy for me to say a final goodbye to her.
