Bermudan sloop rigged yacht with deck stepped Proctor spars. Stainless steel standing rigging, replaced in 2018. Harken roller furling headsail system. Slab reefing mainsail mounted in stack pack on boom with lazy jack lines, ideal if solo sailing or with an inexperienced crew. Mast mounted halyard winches each with 3 jammers.
Lewmar 40 ST genoa sheet winches and 2x Lewmar 16 spinnaker halyard winches mounted on coachroof. Vessel rigged for spinnaker including 2x poles and associated rigging.
Below decks is warm and welcoming with 6'3" headroom at the main hatch and saloon. A combination of teak and mahogany cabinet work and veneered bulkheads give a feeling of classic beauty. Onboard comfort further enhanced by the diesel fired Eberspacher heating system. Interior is accessed from the cockpit with steps incorporated into the engine cover.
To starboard is the chart table with chart desk, chart storage and the 12/240V switch panel. Electronic navigation aids to assist in passage planning. Large quarter berth aft with water tank below.
Opposite on the port side is the galley. This area features a stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurised water, gas fuelled oven with 2-burner hob and grill, top loading fridge for perishables and lots of storage for crockery, cutlery and ambient goods. Hot water works either of the shore power or from the engine.
Mid saloon is benches/berths port and starboard of the saloon table. Ample storage below with hull mounted storage lockers above.
Between the saloon and the forepeak is the heads. To starboard is the Lavac sea toilet and to port is the sink/shower area with hot and cold pressurised water and shower sump pump.
In the forepeak are a further two berths which will convert to a double by using an infill. Additional water tanks below each berth. Opening roof hatch for light and ventilation.
J Francis Jones designed sloop built by RA Newman of Poole in 1961. Carvel constructed hull with pitch pine and mahogany planks on oak frames. Topsides painted in a smart white in 2023. Teak decks and superstructure finished in tread master panels. Traditional full keel with lead ballast shoe with bronze keel bolts. Keel bolts are three feet long. An X-Ray was taken 10 years ago.
