GIRASOLE, yard number 106 was built by Sangermani Shipyard, with a mahogany hull and interior and teak deck.
Born as an elegant racing cruiser class II RORC, together with her twin sisters Raggio di Sole, Cipi, Leticia do Sol, she has always been a well-maintained successful boat. She was published in the prestigious Bolaffi Yachting Catalogue in 1960.
A restoration and a thorough structural check was carried out in 2004. The boat was found to be structurally sound and solid. Extraordinary maintenance included a complete newn teak deck.
In 2023, the current owners undertook a restoration that involves the construction of a new mainmast and the complete overhaul of the mizzenmast, both wooden. Extraordinary maintenance on deck includes the lamination of the teak deck and the complete varnishing of the superstructures, deckhouses, gunwales and washboards after bringing everything to barewood. GIRASOLE is now perfect and restored.
ACCOMODATION
Saloon with galley to port, central engine and refrigerator - chart table to starboard - central table with 2 sofas - side berths.
Continuing towards the bow, a full bathroom on the left and a foul weather gear cabinet on the right, then a cabin with two separate beds with central cabinet.
At bow, with external entrance, large sail locker convertible into sailor cabin.
Possibility to restore a second WC, now eliminated.
Safety equipment: all those required.
