    Ruaival was commissioned in Sweden in May 2006 and sailed by professional crew to West Coast of Scotland. She was the 2006 Southampton Boat Show exhibit.

    From 2006 to April 2009 she sailed the West Coast of Scotland from the Isle of Man to the Outer Hebrides when she left the Clyde to sail to the Mediterreanean.

    From 2009 to 2010 sailed the Atlantic coast of France, Spain and Portugal arriving in Sardinia in 2011. We spent 3 years circumnavigating Sardinia, Sicily and the Aolian Islands before sailing to Turkey in 2016.

    From 2016 to present day she has been based in the Eastern Aegean wintering in Didim, Turkey, Kos and Samos (2 years) Greece

    Entire structure from the waterline up, deck and cabin are cored w/ end-grain balsa for strength, superior bonding’ acoustic and thermal insulation.

    Pilot house window systems are double, tempered safety glass, thermal panes w/ massive, beautifully polished stainless steel frames inside and out.

    All interior woodworking is of carefully matched, solid and veneered, satin-finished African mahogany.

    Teak and holly cabin sole throughout.

    All ceilings on hull sides are mahogany planking.

    Cabin overhead is finished with light ash grooved panels throughout.

    Next aft is a very light and spacious galley to port w/ settee/berth & additional storage to starboard.  Small dinette table.

    Moderate displacement performance cruiser/ external lead keel & partial-skeg, balanced spade rudder.

    Hull & deck construction of hand-laid laminates & end-grain balsa coring, utilising isophalic polyester AMT technology. Exterior finish, including sheer & boot stripes, in NGA-gelcoat

    Under water area treated in 2016 with 5 coats of Gelshield 2000 osmosis prevention treatment after stripping antifoul  back to gel coat.

    An internal grid structure is bonded into the hull for extra strength & stiffness throughout, as well as providing engine bed & keel reinforcement; structural bulkheads are laminated on both sides to the hull & bolted w/ acid-proof stainless steel bolts for extra strength.

    Keel/ballast of lead w/ antimony is mounted to the keel stub w/ 20mm acid-proof stainless steel bolts

    Hull-to-deck joint bonded w/ 8mm stainless steel acid-proof bolts
