Freedom 45

General

• Remarks:

  Very unique Freedom 45. Of the Freedom 45, most are built with a center cockpit, and only a few with an aft cockpit.

  The Freedom yachts are known for their freestanding Carbon masts. In combination with the 'tree jib' (Camberspar by Bierig) ideal on longer downwind stretches where occasional jigging is required. As for the headsail, no beatings and as for the jib, always ideally trimmed. (but advised to use bulletalies).

  If you step on this yacht you feel especially safety.In the cockpit you notice that the steering position is large and sturdy, the cockpit is nice and spacious and all instruments are easy to read. The main winch is also electric.

  Entering the ship is on the port side aft the spacious navigation corner with behind it a pilot cage and a kind of workbench/storage. in front of this navigation corner is the spacious galley with (American) large coolers. under the sink, deep in the midship is the Yanmar Diesel engine. easily accessible and in the right place. Starboard aft is a two-person cabin, and before that a wet cell. further forward is the spacious saloon and before that to port the second wet cell and the second double cabin in the forepeak.

  Characteristic for this type of ship: Strong, spacious with a for Europe distinctive sail. Very suitable for long trips.
