Norwegian sloop / motorsailer
For health reasons for sale the Norwegian spitsgatter "Troll", a seaworthy motorsailer built in 1960 by Askeladen. The boat is made of mahogany on oak rafters nailed with copper.
At the moment the boat is inside a marina in Warns / Friesland with the intention to make some structural improvements. Unfortunately, the owner is no longer able to do so, so the boat needs some work before it can be put back into service. The skin has been made completely bare and will therefore have to be painted. In particular, some work is needed to repair the keel and stern. This contains a number of cracks that will need to be reinforced with iron brackets. A plan for this has been made by an experienced ship's carpenter, the quotation for this is available.
The Troll has been in Engerland for many years and has sailed the seas intensively. See also the pictures of the boat is full sail off the French coast. 15 years ago the boat was brought to the Netherlands and is mainly used on the inland waterways of Zeeland. The previous owner adapted the boat to sail as a motorboat without masts. All masts, sails, rigging and accessories are in good condition and present.
This boat is for a lover of wooden ships. In addition to the aforementioned work, the boat is in excellent condition and fully equipped.
