This ship is the pride of the harbor, her elegant details being admired by everyone passing by. The beautiful design, the precious woods, the first-class craftsmanship and the modern technical installations distinguish her from her peers.
She was built as a sailing cutter in 1935 in former East Prussia at the Curonian Lagoon and has been through a continuous transformation since 1970, when she was acquired by a wealthy German looking for the perfect hull to rebuild into a luxury yacht. The german thoroughness shines through every aspect of the ship which the current owner has been working extensively on for the past 14 years. Now, the work is done and the time is right to let new owners enjoy the privilege of sailing with this fantastic ship.
She sailed primarily as a fishing vessel, and she won the prestigious race ”Das Blaue Band” across the Baltic Sea.
The perfect hull
In 1970 the ship was acquired by a German real estate dealer in search of the perfect hull to rebuild into the luxury yacht of his dreams.
Renowned Dutch ship architect, Henk Lunstroo, was commisioned to redesign the ship into a ketch yacht, and worked on the project from 1971 to 1973. It took another 50 years to rebuild the ship according to Lunstroo’s design, and his large drawings now decorate its interior.
Craftmanship – 50 years in the making
For the past 50 years three different owners have assured that her transformation into a luxury yacht has gone according to Lunstroo’s plans. In the 1980s the ship was acquired by a german craftsman company and in 2006 the present owner acquired the ship and completed its transformation during the following decade.
Today, the ship stands as a reflection of first class craftsmanship. It is made of precious woods and is equipped with all modern technical installations and necessities.
She is a spacious ship with an enviable ceiling height, and it is equipped with all amenities that one could expect from a modern home (TV, internet, audio system, central heating, washing machine etc.).
The saloon is furnished with built-in shelves and cabinets, rear end windows allowing for a panorama view aft ship as well as a large sofa with seating for 8 to 10 people surrounding an oval dining table with star shaped inlays. Centrally located is the ship's galley with all necessary installations and access to the engine room with the ship’s workshop. Opposite the bathroom with shower and toilet is a cabin with two single bunks, and in extension the captain's cabin with double bunk and two children’s bunks. At the ship’s bow is the entrance to the front cabin with two single bunks and ensuite toilet. The ship is also designed for residential use.
The style and craftsmanship throughout the entire ship give a sense of well-being to every person on board.
All details of the refit were carefully considered, with respect for the history and aesthetics of the ship, while the work was carried out in a stylish and modern way.
An absolutely extraordinary yacht that inspires in all respects!
