There is little new to report about this sailing yacht, the Dehler 28 is a much built and ditto discussed ship of true German quality. There are a lot of sailing around and that is not for nothing. The well-known Dehler shipyard has used the best of her knowledge and serious looking German engineers to create the ideal combination between space and sailing qualities. So with this Dehler 28 we have succeeded excellently, 'well done Deutsche Freunden'. The Dehler 28 is a spacious yacht with a well thought-out interior and regatta worthy sailing characteristics. Did you know that this Dehler 28 was designed by Van de Stadt, which is almost synonymous with: good ship!
The 'Salty Dog', that's the name of the Dehler 28 that we have at the jetty for you, is a well maintained and very complete sailing yacht. She has 4 fixed berths, a toilet in separate room and the interior looks neat and fresh. Just a more than good ship that you can take with you without any risk. These Dehler's are suitable for big water so make up your mind, that can be anywhere, including the colder places on our planet because there is a well functioning heating system on board.
As reported this is a pleasant complete sailing yacht:
- anchor with line
- fender and mooring lines
- swimming ladder
- navigation lights
- life raft (must be inspected)
- 2 x life buoy
- radar reflector
- fire extinguisher
- bilge pump
- compass Silva 1000
- Log: Stowe
- Depth gauge: Stowe
- Wind gauge: Stowe
- VHF: ICOM IC-M59
- ATIS: Yeah
and more and more and...... right.
In terms of comfort it is also a very well equipped and complete ship:
- Eberspächer heating
- interior lighting
- toilet in separate room with extra washbasin with tap
- galley with sink and tap (pressure system)
- cooker on spirit (no hassle with gas)
- waste water tank
- Drinking water tank (with tank contents gauge)
- neat pillow set
- Blaupunkt radio/cd player with speakers
- table for in the cockpit
- cushions for in the cockpit
and all that we've now 'just forgotten' .........
The engine is a fine running Volvo Penta MD2010s, built in 1994, with saildrive. Saildrive rubber replaced in 2019! The engine is always well maintained, delivers 10 HP and is super economical, consumption per hour about 1 liter. The engine has of course an hour meter, tachometer, oil pressure gauge with alarm, temperature gauge with alarm. There is also a fuel gauge. There are 2 good batteries on board, the boat has a shore power connection and a battery charger. Technically everything is fine.
And then the sails, not unimportant on a sailing yacht. The sails are in good condition (material Dacron), there is a battened laminate mainsail, a roller jib from 1999 and a Topgenua. All halyards, lines, blocks, shots, rigging, winches are in good condition, ready to sail immediately! Of course the boat has a roll/reef system and a binding reefing system. The boom is equipped with a lazy jack and fixed sail hatch, there is also a sail hatch for the headsail.
Just an honest good Dehler 28s where you can immediately get away with it. Look, Buy, Sail and Enjoy..... and then, of course, pay somewhere in between......
