'Unknown makes unloved' is sometimes said. That certainly applies to this Parker Seal 27, had you ever heard of it? At Easy Sail we know a lot of boats, but to be honest, this one was also new to us. It's a 27-footer with a lifting keel, built in England. Draught from 40 inches to 1.80. So falling dry is very Easy, but also sailing on big water with strong winds. Really a madly cool and smart ship, a miracle why there are not many more made of it. On the inside pleasantly spacious with headroom, a toilet in separate room, large double bed in the tip and a fine saloon with navigation corner and galley. There is a well-maintained inboard diesel and the sails are in excellent condition. Typical such a sailing yacht with an almost unlimited sailing area. A beautiful yacht. Have? Come and see, she's waiting for you in Lauwersoog.
This sailing yacht will of course be delivered complete and ready to sail:
- sink with tap (hand pump)
- cardanic cooker with oven!
- cooler in the sink
- pump toilet in separate room
- interior lighting
- neat cushions
- fenders, mooring lines etc.
- swimming ladder
- anchor with chain and line
- marine radio
- depth gauge
- double compass
- brand new Raymarine Card Plotter (if the bid is good)
- lifejackets 2 x
- all kinds of crockery, pans etc.
- navigation lights
and much more and....... you got it.
In terms of sailing it is otherwise very well arranged on board. The mainsail and the specially tailored jib are from de Vries Sails from Makkun, both built in 2016 (almost new sails). In that year also a new hull has been made. The suspension of the boom has been completely renewed. Lines, traps, shots, blocks.... everything in good condition. There are 2 Lewmar selftailing winches on deck, type 30ST fitted with new winch handles. Furthermore 3 normal winches on the cabin roof. This ship is excellent solo sailing. The lifting keel mechanism is easy to operate, the lines are checked on deck. The sailing characteristics are excellent, the ship is agile and fast and remains very stable even in heavy seas. Because of the lifting keel she can fall dry flat. With the keel completely down she sticks out 1.80 meters, which explains the good sailing characteristics and high stability.
The engine is a Nanni 2.5HE (Kubota) diesel which produces 14 HP, built in 1993. The engine runs excellent and is well maintained. In 2016 the propeller shaft has been aligned and a new water-cooled cuff has been placed, the alternator, starter motor, starter lock and fuel line have been renewed. Recently a new main battery has been placed and a connection for the 2nd battery has been made. The diesel tank has been cleaned professionally, the lid/gasket and valve have been renewed and a level regulator has been placed. Absolutely technical GOOD!
This ship always hibernates on the shore. You buy her from the third owner who's had his hands blown off..... well, he has let other people's hands blow a lot because he has outsourced this job: in 2016 the underwater ship will be completely bare and rebuilt with 9 layers of Primacon and again International Antifouling over it. No osmosis. A nice tight well maintained underwater hull.
Anything else? Just come and have a look, you are welcome aboard this versatile top ship. Really worth it.
