We're talking about a design by Dick Hall, Quickening type. This sailing yacht was built in 2002, with a lot of love and craftsmanship, and simply has no equal in appearance. Everything about this ship is beautiful, sometimes a bit daring, but the builder always made the right decision when he wanted to give the ship a little more. Everything on board is correct, is just as nicely finished and is in the most logical place. This design by Dick Zaal is of a timeless beauty.
Don't be fooled by her beauty, this sailing yacht sails most fellow yachts completely lost. She can handle Easy GREAT water and manoeuvres like the best in the small space. She cuts through the water and reaches her hull speed with little effort. When you see her on the water, the mirror is pretty much the only thing you will soon see getting smaller and small. Really a wonderful boat to go out on.
She does have a drawback. She.... You get a lame arm from all the greetings as everyone on the water sees how beautiful she is, waving, waving and waving again, the Pope and the King are nothing. By the way, this disadvantage also has an advantage, because she's a real headturner, when you're on the tiller, you won't be bothered by a damn neck, she's a headturner, isn't she?!?!
Another downside is, everything's done, so you can't go shopping.... Oh yeah, she's in top condition, really TOPSTATE, so you don't have to do chores or anything.

The motorisation is as follows. There is an excellently maintained and ditto running Solé Mini 26 diesel, 3 cylinder which delivers 25 HP. The engine is from 2002, is quiet, economical, super reliable and easy to maintain. The ideal power source that has enough horsepower to cope with tidal currents in the English Channel, for example. The motor is equipped with a Z-drive, a water-lubricated propeller shaft system with a 3-blade bronze folding propeller 15 x 08.
The sail wardrobe consists of a new battened (4x) with Rutgerson carts mainsail, 30 m2, with 3 bind reefing, about 3 hours used, a new reefable genoa 150%, 27.2 m2, with reefing reinforcements + shape tape for profile correction and weathermax shading strips white, also only 3 hours used. These sails are made and delivered by UK De Vries Sails Makkum, under the quality standard "Cruising Offshore". A once jib (usable), storm jib, and a gennaker with shute for hoisting and ironing. Both are in good condition. In short, the world of sailing to experience the world of sailing under various conditions. It is important to note that the rolling/reefing system is fitted with a band instead of a line. The big advantage of this is that it reefs much easier due to a larger diameter of recruit, which is pleasant when reefing in heavier winds.
This ship is great to sail solo!
With the specifications: length everywhere 9.3 meters, length of waterline 7.96 meters, width 3 meters, draught 1.55 meters and a displacement of 4.4 tons, including 1.95 tons of lead, that's possible too!
This Quickening has been built very professionally in-house. Only the best materials have been used. Construction; Wood epoxy skin, superstructure 4 layers of plywood, built on a webframe of laminated white oak rafters, stevens, stringers and deckweighers. It is a 4-layer Bruynzeel guarantee wood crosswise processed and applied to a web frame of laminated white oak, rafters, stevens, stringers and deck weighers, all bonded with epoxy resin. The entire exterior of the hull and superstructure is provided with a glass mat reinforced with 3 layers of epoxy resin. For the finish with lacquer or coating an invisible and protective jacket, so nothing happens to the wood underneath. Because of the ingenuity of the builder, traditional inwater spots that you always have with wooden ships are no longer there. This ship is built for the future, good, solid and well thought out.
All documentation, used materials, construction drawings etc. are present with the ship, it is more than well documented and comes with a VAT declaration.
When you enter the cabin you understand what it's all about when you build a good ship. Dick Zaal's design is fine, of course, but.......... when you build it the way the current owner did... then boat building becomes art!
This ship is so beautiful, so beautifully lined that it might also be ART.... We've fallen in love with it, and if you like boats, you'll fall in love with it. So that's another drawback, except for waving at everyone all day and the fact that you don't have to buy or do anything on board: you won't get her out of your mind.
