General

• Remarks: The "Guillaume d'Orange" was built by the Nieuwe Kielkade in Bolsward to the design of Brinksma. The current owners have always invested in the sailing and sailing characteristics. There has always been active competition sailing with the ship. In 2019, the sail plan was optimized by Martijn van Schaik (Hoek Design Naval Architects). As a result, a new mast from Leospar and a new rigging from Zeilmakerij Molenaar were installed. To complete the optimization, a balance section was put on the rudder in 2021. Steering is now done with the proverbial little finger. The Nanni diesel engine was installed in 2017. The surprising and unique interior lends itself particularly to people who like spaciousness and is therefore also very suitable as a family ship/multiple people on board with her 6 to 8 berths. A very spacious galley, toilet and storage space makes the ship complete. For the last 15 years the Guillaume d'Orange has only been used for a few weeks a year and the rest of the year she was inside at the shipyard in Heeg where she is also maintained.
