The Hanseat 70 is a robust sailing yacht which is very suitable for longer journeys.
Standard the Hanseat was very luxurious in her time, a lockable toilet with shower, cool box and diesel heating, that makes her to modern standards certainly comfortable.
The Hanseat is a classic IOR design, which makes her very stable and yet sporty to sail. Her relatively small mainsail with large foretriangle and well thought-out weight placement make her a pleasure to sail with. As a helmsman you have everything within reach, the mainsheet spillway and the genoa winches are situated at the right place. Nice fact is that the genoa chutes also on the winch to celebrate, this makes her very safe for young families!
The cockpit is spacious and sheltered, for the world sailor there is also a wind vane on the mirror to place, this is currently removed but easy to install.
The interior is well maintained, here you can see on the laminated bulkheads that there is no saving. It all gives a solid impression. On port side the galley with gimballed 2-burner stove, cooler and running w/water. The folding saloon table gives extra space when needed, under/behind the backrests is extra storage space. The diesel tank (150l) and water tank (250l) are in the keel. To starboard at the entrance is the chart table and access to the dog cage. In the bow is the wet cell, with toilet and shower and a double V berth.
If you are looking for a robust sailing yacht, the Hanseat 70 is definitely worth a visit.
