    Visserman SH3 - co-owner wanted

    The SH3, in full Sentijna Huberdina 3 is a 12.25 m (total 13.16 m). Lemsteraak in fisherman's version, built in 2013. The ship is equipped with the most modern technology on board, including a hybrid drive for electric sailing and a bow jet. The trained eye will see the hand of Martijn van Schaik (Hoek Naval Architects) in the lines plan; the flowing sheer with full bow and stern give the ship its characterful, robust appearance.

    Long before age becomes a limiting factor, the owner of the SH3 wants to interest a co-owner in a partial or phased takeover of the ship. Co-ownership facilitates matters such as maintenance and use of the ship can be well distributed in mutual consultation. For a co-owner this is a unique opportunity to acquire a share in one of the most special fishing vessels sailing today.

    The SH3 is registered in the studbook under nr. D2171 and has sail number VA212. The ship sails along "as a mini in the maxi-class!" She is a thoroughbred sailor and the lines plan of the hull has been optimized in the digital tow tank. The hull has a round bottom and the surface is so thick (12 mm.) that for the mast no rafters are needed. This provides extra headroom in the interior under the foredeck of 1.92 m. The sail plan has a high aspect ratio with a large jib. The sail plan guarantees very good sailing performances. The ship runs high and hard.

    The interior of the SH3 is light, with an open layout, carried out in white planking with iroko moulding, with a floor of beech. The ship is fully equipped, with spacious saloon, galley and wet cell. The spacious owner's cabin is located at the front of the ship. A nice detail is the box bed under the cockpit, which brings the total number of beds to 8. The interior is made by Lodewijk Meeter (Leeuwarden) using FSC approved wood.

    The most striking thing about the SH3 is what you do not see and what you do not hear: the electric drive and all installations that are part of it. With a full lithium ion battery pack, the ship can sail for five hours before the diesel engine is needed again. The technology on board has been expanded to include hydraulics for the rigging and centreboard winches.

    For sailors with a modern view on Lemsteraken the Visserman SH3 is an opportunity; the possibility of partial take-over and co-ownership brings sailing with this hybrid barge within reach.
