General

  • Remarks:

The Jeanneau Sun Shine 38 is a smooth sailing Tony Castro design built by the French Jeanneau yard. This yard belongs to the Beneteau group and is now one of the largest builders of sailing yachts in the world. Since 1964, many tens of thousands of sailboats have been built here and have found their way all over the world. Sounding names like the Poker, Sangria, Aquila, Rush and the Sun Odyssey and Sun Fast series left the Jeanneau yard. More information about this yard can be found at www.jeanneau.fr .

This Jeanneau has a pleasant accommodation with two cabins, a spacious wet room and a galley with all the comforts of home. The seating in the cockpit is good even under incline and because of the tiller steering there is considerably more space here than on a boat with a steering position. In the cockpit there are two large cockpits.

This Jeanneau is since 2013 in possession of the current owner who has not only taken good care of the boat but also has always invested in it. Because he wants to make the step to a bigger boat he is looking for someone who will enjoy his Phebus as much as he did. The boat is ready for new adventures and everything works properly.

Phebus is equipped with, among other things:

    • A well maintained 27 hp. Yanmar engine
    • Propeller shaft with two bladed folding propeller and spare propeller
    • A 55 kgf bow thruster from 2013 with its own battery
    • An underwater hull completely stripped down and rebuilt in 2019
    • Kevlar reinforced hull for increased rigidity at a lower weight
    • Heavy-duty and recent Raymarine autopilot with cockpit and remote controls
    • Tacktick wind and depth gauge and Tacktick log
    • Beautiful classic Sailor VHF radio with DSC and Atis
    • Mainsail with mainsdrop system, North furling genoa with cover, extra genoa, high aspect, storm jib and spinnaker
    • Seldén rod kicker (2020)
    • Middle bollards
    • Boiler and Eberspacher stove
    • Sink in both cabins with hot and cold running water
    • Double burner stove with oven, top loading fridge and double sink
    • Recent extra quality mattresses
    • Winter tent for standing mast
    • Anodes and antifouling 2021
    • Lagoon cockpit table
    • Etc.

This Jeanneau can be viewed by appointment in Almere. The owner will guide the viewings. The boat is registered at the Land Registry and a Sailing Certificate is available. If the buyer wishes to take over the registration the notary costs are for the buyer. When this is not the case, the registration will be deleted before transfer.

The saloon consists of two longitudinal seats with the cabin table in the middle. Of the table, two parts fold down and in the top is a bottle rack. In the base of the table there is another folding waste bin. The salon benches can be used as an extra sleeping place and for the port side bench is an insert to widen the bed with a pillow (in a different color). In the front cabin the bed measures 194 x 138 cm. and this bed is also equipped with comfortable custom-made mattresses. Also here is a sink and a hanging / cupboard.
