  This beautifully lined classic salon boat from the famous Berlin shipyard Engelbrecht was built in 1928. At that time, this shipyard was a leader in the field of pleasure cruising. Their clientele included only wealthy Berliners who wanted a day boat to sail on the beautiful lakes around Berlin. 2 identical ships of this type have been built.

   

  From the Second World War onwards, a little more is known about this (2nd) ship. "Elleken" had its berth in the Angermann Port in Berlin for many years. The former owner of this port was able to tell that in the 50's the ship belonged to 2 men who worked in the film and theater industry. At that time, the ship was frequently to be found on the waters around Berlin with famous and influential people, who quite liked a party. Mr. Angermann specifically remembered Ms. Brigitte Mira who later became a national star.

   

  The current owner bought this Engelbrecht Salon boat in 2007 and gave it a very large and thorough refit in 2008. A full and extensive photo reportage of this is available. The entire interior has been refinished by professionals. In 2010 a new Yanmar 4 cylinder 75 hp was installed which currently has only about 580 hours of operation. In 2014 the underwater hull was de-rusted; especially where the deck-hull connection is joined. Cosmetically in terms of paintwork, minor issues need to be addressed, but in the big picture the vessel looks very clean.
