General

  • Remarks: There is something about this Phillippe Briand designed Jeanneau that makes her stand out from the crowd: firstly her swan-like appearance on the water is not just striking but achingly elegant. Next is her massive open cockpit that could lose a whole football team without anyone noticing.....and then you have that air-and-light chamber they call the saloon, which takes every other brand's attempts at spaciousness and then trounces them! The 57 is a truly world class ocean going cruiser, with big open decks and side decks offering complete security and comfort at a price that won't break the bank....and Elena II sits at the very pinnacle of value (at only €399k tax paid), with just about every extra you could realistically ever want (air con, heating, genset, watermaker to name but a few). As if this were not enough to get you onto the next plane to Cyprus (her Government has recently opened the door to a lot of visitors), the deciding factor has to be her immaculate, skipper-maintained condition and minimal (never chartered) use since launch in 2012 (only 2-3 weeks per year, with just c. 520 hours on her engine). When not being used she has been kept tucked away in her fully enclosed canopy, away from both the summer sun and winter winds: the result of which is a boat that looks as new as when she splashed.

I've deliberately supplied many pictures in case you find it tricky to visit soon - and have many more I can send. Make sure you also view the 360 tour attached to this entry and watch out for my walkthrough video just as soon as I am allowed back into the country. For those of you wanting more information on this fabulous boat or to arrange a live virtual tour by the skipper, do call me on 07787 50 60 90 or email me deanoverton@ancasta.com.
