  This impressive combination of design, engineering and custom construction is a one-off project for an ambitious client. The owner of the 61S Performance loved the modern retro design look and feel of the Steel Long Range cruiser line, but also wanted to travel from his home in the Netherlands to the Norwegian archipelago of Spitsbergen in just over 100 hours net sailing time. So a Performance hull was desired !

  Hidden beneath the elegant timeless shape of an S-design hull is an underwater hull capable of accelerating to a top speed of 24 knots. Equally impressive is the fact that fuel consumption per nautical mile is virtually flat from cruising speed to maximum speed.

  Because the yacht will regularly stay close to the Arctic, the 61S is extremely well insulated, just like our other ships. All Steelers are ready for all weather conditions and have excellent double glazing, foam insulation and central heating as standard.
