"VETUS N.V. of the Netherlands has pleasure in announcing the incorporation of VETUS and Maxwell Marine into one branch in Australia".
Maxwell Marine is a well respected manufacturer of anchor winches and hatches based in Auckland, New Zealand. Maxwell Marine International joined the VETUS Group of companies in February 2008 to provide a strategic marketing alliance and seek opportunities and synergies for their combined products. This joining of VETUS and Maxwell in the Australian market is one of these synergies coming to life.
VETUS-Maxwell will service the market with substantial stock to support customers and most importantly, this move will reduce costs in the distribution channel for VETUS and these savings will be passed on making the VETUS range of products highly competitive on the Australian market.
From the 10th May 2010, the VETUS range of products will be sold by VETUS-Maxwell Australia, based in Capalaba, Brisbane. Early June the company will move into new, larger premises that are very close to the current Maxwell site. Andy Stephens the manager of Maxwell in Australia will take over responsibility for the combined organisation.
The former distributor, McIntyre Equipment Pty Ltd, will continue to provide support during the transition phase for the new VETUS-Maxwell operation and several key staff from McIntyre Equipment will be transferring to the new entity.
