OWNERS ’ COMMENTS
“I have sailed the Mediterranean for almost 10 years. Leaving wonderful, unforgettable memories with my family and friends. The plan was to go across and maybe further, so Sunny got a lot of attention and much work done to get her ready.
As life takes its toll on professional and personal basis for me and my wife the plan changed. Realising in the next years we have unforeseen obligations, with a very heavy heart we decided to sell Sunny Sides. In the hope someone with the matching plan will sail her to new horizons. ”

1 . CONSTRUCTION
HULL NUMBER Oyster 61/02.
HULL CONSTRUCTION Moulded in GRP from female moulds built by Oyster in their own facility under the designer’s supervision, ensuring a smooth accurate finish. Hull construction incorporates conventional stringer and floors structure.
Hull and deck structure moulded to the designer’s specification in a Lloyd’s approved facility under controlled conditions, and all laminating carried out by hand to a high standard.
Produced using a Lloyd’s approved gelcoat and laminating resin. On the hull the gelcoat and three outer laminates incorporate a special isophthalic resin and powder-bound mats.
Additional basket weave Kevlar cloth in hull, from stern back to keel.
HULL FINISH ‘White’ hull with cove line and double boot top lines in standard Oyster ‘blue.’
Underwater grinding and antifouling work, including replacement of sacrificial anodes carried out annually. Polishing of freeboard and deck every two years.
DECK CONSTRUCTION Moulded in GRP with balsa core for strength and insulation. In load-bearing areas the core is replaced with plywood for additional strength, and all load-bearing fittings have aluminium backing plates.
The deck edge incorporates a bulwark which enhances the yacht’s visual appearance with a graceful sheer line. This bulwark facilitates relatively flat side decks whilst providing a good foothold when working the yacht in a seaway. The top of this bulwark is finished with a substantial teak capping rail in natural wood finish.
Oyster deck saloon profile with eyebrow detail.
Internal scupper drains are installed along the deck edge preventing the topsides from staining when the decks are washed down.
DECK FINISH Side decks, forward and aft coachroof, deck saloon roof, winch coamings, cockpit seats, sole and helmsman’s seat are trimmed with laid teak. Teak decking is quarter sawn teak planks with no visible fastenings, laid on epoxy glue. Planking is snaped into the king plank and the decking is installed with margin boards around hatches, dorade vents, cabin sides and all major deck fittings.
